Giant Bamboo Culture 1. Soak seeds for 24 hours in 85 degree water 2. Put about 1/8-1/4 inch of potting soil over seeds 3. Cover with a “tent” of plastic and place in indirect light 4. Germinated seed needs constant moisture (tent keeps moisture in) 5. Germination usually takes about 10-20 days. 6. Transplant when you are ready but keep it moist. Moso bamboo can reach 90 feet and is strong enough to be used as scaffolding. Edible as well.
